Magical Summer on the Gower

It's been a pretty crazy two years since I moved to Wales and having already lived in two different places here, I'm happy to say being on the Gower Peninsula is most definitely my happy place! I swear it's a little bit of heaven - what with the incredibly beautiful beaches, the pretty and traditional villages with their stone cottages and gorgeous flower displays, the lush and verdant forests and farmland and the wonderful creatures that live here. Sometimes I wake up to the sound of sheep bleating and they wander through our garden. Birds singing happily in the trees. I got to learn about the Green Woodpecker, Red Kite and more. Feral cats, Merlin, Guinevere and Lancelot are getting fat and satisfied on chicken and cheese treats - being cats of course they have decided that our home is theirs and have made themselves comfortable on our garden furniture.

This seems to be the perfect place to bring out my more witchy side and my healing energies to share. As I sit here both Chris and I have suffered from aches and pains (Chris' being Osteoarthritis, mine being the result of no longer being able to have HRT in my body and going through the menopause) and I'm looking at the rather lovely Healing Spell Jar that I was inspired to make on Saturday. Containing Crystals, Pink Himalayan Salt, Herbs and Spices all being combined to counteract the symptoms and effects - inflammation, pain and a good energy boost - so far so good! Looking forward to next making a Prosperity Jar!
